Brahma Majestic: our first solar site
Brahma Majestic is a 70 kW DC rooftop solar system on NIBM Road, Konhwa, Pune. It was the first site Quanta Renewables built, and it's still one of our best performers.
Background
This project came before we had a track record. The client took a chance on us, and the lessons from designing and installing this system, from panel layout to how we set up monitoring, carried into every project we've done since.
What we installed
We designed and installed a 70 kW DC rooftop system with a live monitoring dashboard. It tracks irradiance, generated power, and predicted power in real time, alongside site weather conditions, so the owner can check performance at any point in the day.
Results
The numbers below come from the plant's own monitoring dashboard.
The system has generated 129.81 MWh over its lifetime, with a specific yield of 2.28 kWh/kWp and a CUF of 9.5%. On a single day of strong generation it saved 2.42 tonnes of CO2. Over the past week, daily output has ranged from around 130 kWh to over 300 kWh depending on weather, with several days topping 300 kWh.
